SUDUED Spiced Rum

SUDUED spiced rum takes its inspiration from military insignia.

Regimental badges and insignia are traditionally produced in bright colours to represent individual regiments and units. When used on operations, however, these are often replaced with subdued versions in colours such as black, olive green and brown. Designed to reduce visibility and blend into the surroundings, the insignia becomes less about standing out and more about being seen only when it needs to be.

That idea inspired SUDUED, a rich, dark spiced rum with a deep almost-black appearance. A darker interpretation of a familiar spirit, designed to look as distinctive as it tastes. 

Appearance: Deep, almost black in colour.

37.5% ABV and 700mle

Tasting Notes

Nose: Warm spice, caramel and dark sweetness with hints of vanilla and toasted notes.

Palate: Rich, smooth and sweet, with layers of warming spice, caramel and vanilla. Full-bodied without being harsh, with a depth that makes it equally enjoyable neat or mixed.

Finish: Long, warming and pleasantly sweet, with lingering spice and dark caramel.

Serving Suggestions

STRAIGHT ISSUE- Best enjoyed neat or over ice to appreciate its rich, smooth character.

STANDARD ISSUE- Mix with cola for a classic, easy-drinking serve.

FIELD MIX- Pair with ginger beer and a generous slice of orange. The ginger brings out the warming spice while the orange lifts the darker, richer notes.
